Just got this press release... looks interesting, the music sounds really good... 2nd Annual The BIG Saturday Celebrating Black History Month February 18, 2006 The Arts and Entertainment Center (3026 University), Gallery 504 (3041 University), and The Andrea Rushing Fine Arts Gallery (3803 Ray Street), all located in close proximity in North Park on University Avenue just east of 30th Street, are working in collaboration to present The BIG Saturday 2006: San Diego’s 2nd Annual 24-Hour Black History Month Celebration. This event is free and open to the public. The BIG Saturday will open with a drum call and libation at 10 am on Saturday, February 18th and close with affirmations and reflections at 10 am the next morning. Please mark your calendar for this 24-hour event. The hours in between will consist of numerous opportunities for the community to be interactive, social, uplifted, energized, and educated.
