If you have a four-legged friend who likes to get outside, San Diego has plenty of dog parks where Fido can run, catch a frisbee and visit with other pooches. According to the City Web site:

“All dogs shall be maintained on a leash not to exceed 8 feet, this includes trails and canyons in all parks. For those parks that have been designated dog off leash areas, dogs must be leashed until inside the posted boundary for the off leash area.”

However, there are some further rules and regulations that you will need to follow if you do decide to pay a visit to one of the City of San Diego’s Dog Parks. There a quite a few “approved leash-free locations,” where your buddy can really enjoy himself.

The key is for you and Fido to have fun, but to know the rules so everyone else and their pooches can enjoy themselves, too.
