Maybe it was the way I dressed–slick, all black and fresh from a wedding, or the way she wore her hair down as it sat with grace around her neck and down to her back over her dark blue dress, but the most elegant evening I had in a long while was up at the Top of the Hyatt. A simple, yet fancy affair that saw gentlemen in suits, button up shirts and dress shoes, casual polo shirts, even some that wore Hawaiian threads with sandals. This shows the range of clientele that dine and drink here. We were just there for the sights.

The view is gorgeous on a clear night. The allure of San Diego is all too apparent when you sit at a table with a loved one, a friend, and just gaze at out at the city by the bay. Some forget the wondrous sites, the illustrious views, and amazing ambiance of San Diego, but they merely need to visit the top of this prestigious hotel to recapture that excitement again.

Drinks or food, it doesn’t really matter. What really matters is the company that you keep, and the people you share your time with. Whatever the cost, that is the most valuable in my opinion.
