San Diego Cinema Under the Stars: Movies in the Moonlight

Summertime evokes a certain small town feel in many San Diego neighborhoods. Hillcrest, in particular, hosts a fun summertime event called Cinema Under the Stars. All summer long, this quaint Hillcrest outdoor theater entertains locals (and visitors) with old and really-old classic movies showing under the stars. Invite old friends or a new date to reminisce over a good movie on a warm summer night.

Although admission is $12.50, you get to relax in a “gravity recliner” with heat lamps and enjoy an intimate outdoor experience. Besides—in-theater movies will probably be up to $13 by the end of the summer, at the rate they’re rising. All shows start 8:30pm.

Must-see Shows:

June 30- July 1

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

July 21-22

Breakfast at Tiffany’s

August 4-5

Sunset Boulevard

August 16-17

Garden State

August 30-31, September 1-2

Princess Bride

Check out Cinema Under the Stars for the full movie-list. Anyone know of any other outdoor-move screenings this summer in San Diego?
