i was high in almost every class for one whole quarter of school
i smoked atleast 2 times a day at school
sometimes even 3 or 4 times (before school, after 1st period, at lunch, after 3rd period, and than we would be let out of pe 10 minutes early and we would light up again. etc.)
and i ended the quarter with 3 f's
cause when im high im too lazy to work and i feel like chilling and listening to my ipod and just talking to girls all class
ha yeah i get mack daddy when im high

so for the next quarter i decided to smoke on weekends and sometimes at night to help me sleep and i didnt smoke at school
and i ended the quarter with a's and b's

so i think as long as ur not high in school ur good
but if u are gonna be smoking at school u might as well dropout

First of all: "officials caught multiple San Diego students with medical marijuana cards on campus."

Caught? It is not illegal to have a cannabis recommendation issued by an MD in the state of California.

Concerning marijuana on campus, the law clearly states: "H&S 13362.5 Nothing in this article shall authorize a qualified patient or person with an identification card to engage in the smoking of medical marijuana... (b) In or within 1,000 feet of the grounds of a school, recreation center, or youth center, unless the medical use occurs within a residence."

And let's not forget it is also illegal "(c) On a schoolbus."

As far as being on campus high as a kite, the administration needs to address what to do in situations where this has to happen. I remember a girl who had cancer took Marinol (an expensive synthetic THC) and she was kind of giggly. But who cares. She needed it.

Seriously, be compassionate and take each situation independent of stereotypes of marijuana.

Students using marijuana is an old problem. The solution to this problem is not 100%. There will never be a school year when no American high school student used marijuana. If a student is drugged during class, remove the student; follow standard procedure.

If marijuana is legalized it will be the same as alcohol. If a student is drunk, remove the student and take disciplinary action. If the student used marijuana, remove the student and take disciplinary action.

If students present medical marijuana cards, then construct a written policy to deal with that situation. The policy will cover situations where the student has a card legitimately or illlegitimately and will deal with both accordingly.

The future holds some unknowns, but these unknowns can be dealt with rationally and constructively.

well considering marijuana IS already sold on the "streets" there really would be no difference. but if california was smart and made it legal with a tax, people would much rather go to a store and get bud instead of having to do a deal. and honesly, mary j isnt even a drug. i think people just fear the unknown and its the people who never smoked who say it is bad.
