You may or may not know that baseball season is upon us.  I’m not much of a fan myself, partially a result of having lived within walking distance of Wrigley Field in Chicago for a few years (crowds, drunks, lack of parking).  Now,  I take a writing class in downtown San Diego, so I am pretty cognizant of which days are game days-  in other words when will I have trouble parking?  although thankfully I have not noticed a proliferation of drunks on game days!

I’m sure most of you aren’t as grumpy as I am about the start of Padres season (Home Opener 7 pm, Friday April 6, vs. Col).  In fact, some of you may be looking forward to the baseball season, like Padres fan and fellow San Diego Blogger Geoff Young.  He’s gone beyond the blog, and written a book to help fellow baseball fans get up to speed on all things Padres, Ducksnorts 2007 Baseball Annual.  And kudos to Geoff, Padres CEO Sandy Alderson has written the foreward!  And in true blogger fashion, the book is available through Lulu.com as a download, or a real perfect bound book.
