Anyone know what movie or TV show is being filmed downtown right now? Last night there was a night shoot near Union and Ash. The front of a local dessert place had a fictional sign in front of it to make it look like a night club. I’ve seen TV filming before downtown, this looked bigger.
That was an exterior shoot for the show “Watch Over Me” filming for MyNetworkTV. That show is one of several that are being produced by Stu Segall Productions in Kearny Mesa. I think it’s funny that you thought it looked “bigger” than TV filming, because this is actually low-budget TV.
In 2000 I saw a scene from The Invisible Man (?) on the Sci-Fi channel being filmed on West Broadway and it only had a few people.
