Lots happening this weekend, and I wanted to share:

Oceanside Harbor Days, Sat and Sun (Sept. 16-17) 9am to 6 pm
Sun, sand and surf, the Mayor’s Cup Regatta, Fishing Derby, arts, crafts, food music and more.

Del Mar Dog Surf-A-Thon, Sun (Sept. 17) 8:30 am to 2 pm  (at Dog Beach in Del Mar)
This is a fundraiser for the Helen Woodward Animal Center. Surfers raise money by getting a per wave caught sponsorship, and there will be a dog surfing contest too. Only in California!
Rancho Guajome Fiesta, Sat (Sept. 16) 10 am to 4 pm
2210 N. Santa FE Ave, Vista
This event looks like a great family event, with trick roping, storytelling, basket weaving, music, dancing, food and a history lesson in a beautiful setting, the Rancho Guajome hacienda which was part of an original Mexican land grant and now a national historic landmark….  

California Coastal Cleanup Day, Sat. (Sep 16) 9 am to 12 noon, various locations
Volunteer to help clean up the parks and beaches you love to visit.  There are many locations throughout the county, and a couple of hours of your time will make you part of the solution to the pollution in our county

Wavecrest Woodie Weekend Sat and Sun (Sept. 16-17)
Reportedly the larges and oldest woodie meet, with 250-300 vehicles expected to cruise and show through downtown Encinitas. Free event.
