The schedule for Street Scene has been released. You can download and print the PDF version here.

Biggest changes from last year are that there are 3 smaller stages and they moved the Captain Morgan stage so that it faces east instead of west. One of the smaller stages (The Forbidden Stage) is 21+ only and is sure to be fun since it is hosting the drag and burlesque shows. This is a feature that was really popular when Street Scene ruled downtown. In any case, it’s always an interesting break from the music.

Again, the best way to get there will be by trolley. If you’re taking the trolley east to the stadium, park at Fashion Valley. If you’re going west towards the stadium, the promoters are suggesting the parking at the Grantville station.

So is anyone out there going besides me? If you’re going and have any other tips, please share. If you’re a first timer and have questions, feel free to comment and I’ll dig up some answers for you.

Last year the crowds were very tolerable. There is lots of open space between stages so you’re never claustrophobic.

If you’re into the bands that are playing and want to shell out the $$ for tickets, yeah it’s worth going. Two days of music and getting to see bands you may not normally buy a ticket to see is worth the money in my opinion. My prime example is Kanye West. I would never buy a ticket to see him if he was headlining a show here, but as part of a festival, I’m definitely going to see him.

Plenty of places to stay nearby since the stadium is in mission valley. The street scene website has plenty of links on travel stuff.
