I am in dire need of getting some culture in my life and I can *always* use a cocktail, so the quarterly Culture and Cocktails event on Thursday at the San Diego Museum of Art is right up my alley. The featured exhibition is Andy Warhol’s Dream America. Tickets are $10 at the door, but you can save $3 buying them online at Ticketmaster. Amazingly enough, they are not charging a service fee if you buy them online.

The rest of the museum is open as well, so don’t forget to go into the 20th century art gallery to the left of the entrance and say hi to my favorite Dufy. Or the Matisse if your feel the need for flowers.

Oh…and people usually go a little dressy to these events. I like that idea a lot. It’s nice to see people out of shorts and flip flops every once in awhile.
