I have a google news alert for “san diego blog” and this was an interesting one that popped out at me as a unique use of blogs: | Valley Episcopalians weigh in on female bishop’s election
Thomas chaired the delegation from the San Diego diocese, which includes Episcopalian churches in the Coachella Valley.

“We were thanking God, laughing, crying, hugging,” Thomas wrote on a blog the diocese set up so area Episcopalians could follow developments at the conference. “We all know that there will be some tough times ahead, but for many of us, yesterday was a day for celebration for God’s incredible grace.”

More about the blog:

The San Diego Diocese has set up a blog where members of the delegation are posting their thoughts and reactions to events at the Episcopal Church’s General Conference in Columbus , Ohio. Both Rev. Robert Certain of St. Margaret’s in Palm Desert and Rev. Andrew Green of the Church of St. Paul in Palm Springs are posting on the blog. The blog can be found at

Hmm. Apparently they don’t “get” the concept of a blog… no one has commented! It’d kind of a yawn, but then again, I’m not an Episcopalian (can’t even spell it) so maybe I’m the one that doesn’t “get” it.
