Third Annual Del Mar TV Idol Singing Contest
Del Mar TV is looking for the next “Del Mar TV Idol”! Kids from all over San Diego County will compete in a singing contest in two age categories 10-14 for “Junior Del Mar TV Idol” and 15-18 for “Del Mar TV Idol”. One-minute a capella auditions will be held on Sunday March 5 starting at 10 am for the younger age group and 12 pm for the older singers. A $25 entry fee is required.
Both the preliminary and final rounds of the contest will take place at 9 am Sunday, March 26, 2006 (till approximately 3 pm). The event will be taped for television and will air on Del Mar TV Channel 66. A panel of judges will pick winners from each category to win a cash prize and receive a video tape of their performance.
