Park availability added to Web site

Planning a wedding or party in a county park? Now information is available on the Internet on whether your place of choice is available.

The county Parks and Recreation Department has added a feature to its Web site that allows people to check the availability of park reservations up to a year in advance. The feature also provides detailed maps, pictures and descriptions of locations that are available for daytime rental.

The schedules, fees and other information on park reservations is on the department’s Web site at www.sdparks.org.

Park users must still call the reservations desk at (858) 565-3600 to reserve a site.
