There’s a new tool out there called CoComment.com, the tool is supposed to:

When you comment on a blog, coComment keeps a copy of your message on a special page - called “your conversations” - that allows you to quickly see your comment and where it was posted, with a link to the original site.

Display all the comments you make accross the blogosphere on your own blog. In one easy step you can show your readers where you’ve been commenting recently. Don’t lose the value you create on other’s blogs, benefit from it!

Whether you’ve commented on a blog or you’re just following a blog-based conversation of interest to you, coComment can let you know what’s been added to a particular discussion in real time.

I’m curious to know if there are any readers of ours out there using this tool? Read more about it here and here.
On a whole other note, I’ve re-enabled the “Subscribe to comments” functionality that Oso had installed some time ago but which was sorta broken for a while.

No, I haven’t used CoComment or the released-same-day competitor MyComments, but I hacked together a similar function with del.icio.us about a year ago and have been happily using it since. I just tag any place I leave a comment with “mycomments” and end up with a single place to surf from: http://del.icio.us/aabut/mycomments

A nice byproduct of del.icio.us is the RSS feed - I throw it on my Netvibes page for easy access during morning surfing. I used to throw it in the sidebar of my blog too, back when I was going nuts with a lot of javascript includes of generated content in there, which slowed page load times to a crawl.

That’s pretty cool Al. Nice way to keep track of yo’self.

Thanks, I like it too, it keeps the conversation going. I’d love to take credit for the idea but I’m sure I read about it somewhere that I forgot the link to.
