Way back in the early seventies I went on a double-date to a movie at the now defunct Strand Theatre in Ocean Beach. That movie was Pink Flamingos. Not a good choice for a first date, but if gross and disgusting is your thing, then rent it and give it a whirl sometime. That disturbing memory was dredged up because I see that this Sunday, director John Waters will be speaking at the Casbah at an event entitled, A John Waters Christmas. I’m sure his appearance will be “devine”.
