David Moye sent us: Big Girls Go Burlesque On Friday
A plus-sized Blues diva and fat activist has a titillating way of helping ladies and gents get over their body issues — a burlesque show and concert featuring big girls like herself. Singer Candye Kane is organizing a show that will feature herself, a group of double-sized dancers called the Fat Bottom Burlesque Review and a “phat” jazz singer named “Phatmandee.”
The tour officially begins Friday (Sept. 9) in San Diego and Kane figures the heavyweight show will be “empowering” and promises “a whole lot of female flesh onstage at one time.”
