Bag Check

First there was the case of the robber in Kensington who snatched a bag full of dog poop away from a woman who was walking her dog. Now, there’s news of another attempted bag snatching. This time, the bag was full of dog and the assailant underestimated his victim, a 73-year-old woman:

At the intersection of Sixth and Pennsylvania avenues, a man in his 20s rode up to the woman on a bicycle and grabbed the bag with the dog from the shopping cart, police said. The woman took a bag full of books from the cart and hit the man, knocking him off the bicycle. While the man was on the ground, she kicked him hard in the groin, police said. While the man was writhing in pain, she retrieved the bag with her dog.
