I’ve been looking at a new breed of “mobile social networking” sites like Rabble and dodgeball and they really look like a lot of fun. Rabble (after it launches) is probably the one I will use, but for now, dodgeball is the only one I really know works with my phone’s text messaging service (I’m on t-mobile but they claim to support all the majors).

You basically go somewhere, and “checkin”. This sends a text message to your “friends” 10 blocks or less away that you’re nearby. If you’re interested, send me your username (wireddude [at] gmail.com) and I’ll add you to my friend’s list so we can test it out, and potentially meet up next time were in a 10 block radius. Should be fun in the Qualcomm Parkinglot when StreetScene arrives
