The lineup for Street Scene 2005 will be released next week, however it has been announced that the location won’t be downtown. They’ve decided to hold Street Scene at the Qualcomm Stadium parking lot.

My guess is it moved due to the extensive redevelopment in East Village. High-end development = NIMBY (Not in my back yard).

I’ve been making the pilgrimage out from the bowels of Minnesota to this Party-of-all-Parties for a few years now…combining my passion for great street photography with great partying.
Holding Street Scenes in the parking lot of Qualcomm stadium sounds a lot like attempting to cook Flet Mignon at a McDonald’s.
It’s going to lose a LOT of it’s flavor.
Sad…
