It’s Fried Cricket Season In Tijuana

David Moye sent us: IT’S FRIED CRICKET SEASON IN TIJUANA

The thought of eating fried crickets and maguey worms might bug you but they’re “snack-tacular” taste treats to gourmets in Tijuana, Mexico. That’s according to Sandra Luz Pedregal, a self- proclaimed foodie who runs a travel service called The Adventurous Gourmet catering to tastemakers looking for […]

Mobile Social Networking Sites in San Diego - Looking for Testers!

I’ve been looking at a new breed of “mobile social networking” sites like http://www.rabble.com and http://www.dodgeball.com and they really look like a lot of fun. Rabble (after it launches) is probably the one I will use, but for now, http://www.dodgeball.com is the only one I really know works with my phone’s text messaging service (I’m on t-mobile but they claim to support all the majors).

San Diego Business Journal Redesign

Last year I noticed that the San Diego Business Journal website — SDBJ.com, was horribly, craptastically broken in both Safari and in Firefox. I’m pleased to report that the site has been extensively redesigned, including the fact that many items which were behind a paid subscriber firewall now appear to be free! So go on […]

Old School

Surfing around the net I stumbled upon this photo from a 2002 San Diego Bloggers meetup and thought it was worthy of a post. I know MAS is on the right and I’m pretty sure that’s Mikey on the left. But does anyone know who is in the middle?

New Badges for San Diego Bloggers

Deva Premal and Miten Concert

The Deva Premal & Miten experience is more than entertainment. Spiritual leaders and teachers such as H. H. The Dalai Lama - with whom they’ve had a private audience — and Anthony Robbins are fans. Eckhart Tolle, bestselling author of The Power of Now, calls Deva Premal & Miten’s music “Pure magic. As you listen, […]
