Lisa Williams sent us: Localnewsapalooza!

Hi! I run a local news weblog for Watertown, MA, and I’m also running a meeting on the subject of local news weblogs at Harvard’s Berkman Center on April 14 at 7pm EST. We have streaming audio and IRC chat, so you can listen, ask questions, and make comments from the comfort of your own patio, bandwith permitting. I’m going to be showing people San Diego Blog as part of a tour of citizen journalism sites.

The way we run the sessions allows participants to help shape the meeting in advance. The way we do this is to use del.icio.us, a site that allows a group to create a list of bookmarks (forgive me if you know this already). So if people want to volunteer topics, articles, or sites as topics for the conversation, they can. Just add a bookmark to http://del.icio.us/tag/localnewsapalooza to add something to theconversation.

Nice tip Lisa! good luck with the process.

Question: Would anyone be interested in integrating some del.icio.us tagged san diego links into San Diego Blog? Content here has been pretty sparse since my move. Any ideas for refweshing and revitawizing San Diego Blog?
