David Moye sends us BAN GAY WEDDINGS ON WEEKENDS, AND IN JUNE:
SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash) – A California judge may have ruled that a ban on gay marriages is unconstitutional in the Golden State, but a man in San Diego is suggesting they be banned only on weekends and in the month of June.
David Moye, a pop culture journalist, supports the idea of gay marriages but admits it’s already hard enough to find good wedding locations – as well as florists, bakers and caterers – without extra competition from gay and lesbian couples.
Still, he believes selling marriage licenses could help get cash-strapped California out of debt and figures the increased business for wedding-oriented businesses from homosexual receptions will boost the economy.
That’s why he advocates allowing gay marriages, except on weekends and the entire month of June.
The 40-year-old says if homosexuals pledge not to hold their receptions during what he calls “the good times,” it will go a long way to easing the fears of anti-gay groups.
Although implementing the plan will be a lot of work, Moye figures he can convince California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to “pump it up” to the gay community.
Wireless Flash is pretty silly fun stuff.

A friend forwarded your blog to me. I recently had an interesting discussion with a group of students, but there were only 3 who supported gay marriage. When they asked me what I thought I told them, “I think they should just let them get married. Think of how much the economy would benefit. A lot of people would be working: planners, musicians, hotels, etc.” And in regards to the religious stigma I said, “If God didn’t want them, He wouldn’t have created them, and besides, I see gays and lesbians as population control. Not all of them have children, not all of them want children.”
One thing I’m curious about thought, why not the month of June?
June is the most popular month for weddings. The idea is if gay couples say, “Look, we want to get married. But we understand that many of you heterosexuals” have plans for big weddings in June. We understand you’ve got out-of-towners then so we will not hold our weddings then.”
It’s kind of like offering a special deal for those who are willing to vacation resort during the off-season. We’ll let you married then as well.
hope this helps.
