Is anyone else out there completely addicted to podcasts yet?
I’ve been wanting to make my own for a few weeks now and have even toyed with the idea of an independent San Diego News Podcast, but as it is I can’t even keep up with blogging.
Brand new San Diego Blogger, Alex Kessinger (who is currently studying abroad in Italy) is - I’m pretty sure - the first San Diegan to make a podcast.
So if you too want to hear four San Diego college students in Italy talking about Paris Hilton running out of gas in her Mercedes, you too should subscribe to Alex’s podcast feed. (warning: language might not be safe for work)

Hey thats so cool that I got noticed but I have to say that I think I might have been beat. There is this guy in cardiff his blog is called User Generated Content he is on podcast 8 he doesn’t have an rss feed that I can find though otherwise I would post that as well.

Cheers!

Oh, I also forgot, I started podcasting my first show on October 16th and have been mentioned on Australian Broadcast News, Adam Curry’s show and a couple of other places.

Alex,
Good find man. I think you bring up a good point on what is a podcast and what is an audioblog. In my opinion a podcast must have an rss feed (by definition) and should be updated at least once a week.
Derrick,
Very cool to see that a San Diegan jumped on the technology so quickly. I just added your feed to my ipodder list. Look forward to having a listen.
If any other San Diegans out there are starting to podcast, please leave a comment. If we get enough, I think I’m going to try to convice Joe to make a list of San Diego Podcasts on the sidebar.

I’m totally down for adding significant local sites on the sidebar! Podcasters included!
Maybe I need a “podcast enabled” or “audioblog” parameter on
SDBs

Adam Curry on today’s Daily Source Code mentioned that a UCSD student named Philipe got a custom license plate that reads “PODCAST.”

I also do a podcast out of San Diego County (El Cajon). It is information technology (IT) professional focused.
Dann Sheridan (http://www.xlogs.net) who recently moved to San Diego set up a Yahoo Group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sd-bloggers/).
