Well, the elections couldn’t possibly be more exciting than they are right now in San Diego.
It’s still too early to declare the winner in the following races and ballot propositions as absentee and provisional ballots continue to be counted:
As provisional and absentee ballots are counted, results will be updated at www.sdvote.com. Also, the Union Tribune has an interesting article about the end of Golden Hall as election central. The UT also has an editorial on the meaning of Tuesday’s vote.
San Diego Blogger Andrew Phelps took some incredible photos at Golden Hall on election night. SignOnSanDiego.com also has a gallery of photography from election night.
USD Professor Carl Luna blogged about his reflection on the local elections which has prompted an interesting thread of comments.
Meanwhile, the Venezuelan Ambassador to the United States will be speaking at UCSD’s Institute of the America’s today at 3:30 p.m. to discuss US - Venezuelan relations. Tonight the film Women of Islam: Unveiling and Seclusion will be playing for free at MOPA in Balboa Park. Tomorrow Amy Goodman will be speaking at the First Unitarian Universalist Church in Hillcrest. On Monday the Republican Party of San Diego will be meeting at the Manchester Grandy Hyatt hotel at 7:00 p.m. to discuss The Insider’s View of the 2004 Campaign featuring California Republican Party Chairman Duf Sundheim, Assemblyman John Campbell, Coronado Communications’ Duane Dichiara, and California Republican Party Southern Vice Chairman Keith Carlson.
If I missed any resources or commentary from local bloggers, please leave a comment below and let us know.

Well fine. I’ll comment on my own post. Tomorrow is Beat the Electoral Blues! Strategies for Post-Election Activism put on by the San Diego Coalition for Peace and Justice:
I’ll be there most of the day. Come by and say hello.

What a story if the current vote percentage holds: Donna Frye, with a 6 week campaign, goes from City Council holdout to strong mayor write-in. Amazing.
