Little Italy WiFi: Down, and… Out?

LittleItalyWiFi: Free Wi-Fi Access in Downtown San Diego has been down for a few weeks.

To make matters worse, the access point is still turned on — transmitting an empty signal to the entire neighborhood and creating frustration for all who try use it.

The Little Italy site currently exhorts Color Graphics, who has sponsored the service for some time, to:

Pull the friggin’ power cord on the access point if you’re incapable of maintaining it!

Ouch! I for one enjoyed the wireless in Little Italy several times, and am thankful people used the service. It would be nice if it worked, however.
