Anyone who surfs or swims frequently at La Jolla Shores know how Nazi-like the life guards there can be when it comes to keeping the surfers on one side of the checkered flag and swimmers on the other. A couple times I’ve drifted over that magic, invisible line - luckily some bored life guard screamed at me Limbaugh style and made exaggerated gestures for me to paddle the 15 feet back to my side.
I’ve never been a fan of segregation. And now I don’t have to be. As bookofjoe pointed out yesterday, a San Diego based company has created the ULI, which is “the only surfboard allowed on San Diego swimming beaches.”

May I buy a inflatable surfboard?
