Several months ago Leah and I went to an event put on by S/he collective - an activist/art collective here in San Diego. But that’s not what I want to talk about today. There was an artist there showing some paintings, and selling works on paper, as well as painted handbags, that were really beautiful. The artist’s name is Celene, and she has a website: Celëne: this little art of mine. Her work is well worth a browse. Her paintings can be quite dreamy, or sometimes disturbing, and if you end up wanting to buy something you can check out the purses, t-shirts, pins and stickers.
