MSN Music does music somehow, and they include radio stations — local ones too — This is is a list of San Diego radio stations they offer — but I’m not sure how it works.

I’d bet it has something to do with having the latest version of Windows XP and offering your firstborn child to Bill Gates.

It seems that the MSN Music service collects data from the radio stations to get an idea of the kind of content they play… then mimics their playlists by offering “Like” stations. (Rather than streaming the actual radio stations.)
