A message from Margaret Kazmer to the staff of the San Diego Public Library, from yesterday:
As of today, all of SDPL’s branch libraries, and Central Lib, have free wireless public Internet Access, with the exception of the Skyline Hills Branch, which, because of infrastructure issues, cannot provide this service.
If you, your staff, or your patrons have any questions regarding wireless Internet, please be aware there is information available on our web pages at http://www.sandiego.gov/public-library/searching-the-net/wirelessaccess.shtml
Many thanks to the Technical Support team for completing this so quickly. Many
patrons will be benefit from this added service.A press release will be issued shortly.
Kudos to the San Diego Public Library for embracing free wireless as a public good to their patrons! Previously mentioned on San Diego Blog: San Diego Public Library rolling out lots of wireless
