All over the TV news right now is the story of Sara Powell, 27 years old of Santee, who left her 7 year child in the trunk of her Volvo while she had her birthday party at Winston’s, a bar and music venue in Ocean Beach.
One eyewitness noted this detail — the woman’s dog apparently got to sit in the front seat of the car, with the windows open.

Sad story. May want to check that Santee fact though — I’ve only seen that info in the link you provide — the other sources indicate she’s lived most of her life in San Bernardino, and has lived in PB in a motorhome with her boyfriend recently. Maybe the writer of the KGTV report cited above misread initial reports saying she was being held at Las Colinas Detention Facility in Santee as that she was “of Santee”.
