“Fight Club” author event in El Cajon

On San Diego Blog Syntax of Things (with a great tagline: one person’s crap is another person’s blog!), it’s noted that “Chuck Palahniuk will be reading from and signing copies of his new collection Stranger Than Fiction tomorrow night (15 July 2004) at Borders in El Cajon (beginning at 7 pm).”

I’m not really a fan of Mr. Chuck (and darned if that last name is impossible to spell!), but the last author to get coverage by local bloggers was Bruce Sterling (yes, has a blog) — covered by Brian Dear and Leah Peah.
