What is the deal with the Pelicans?

Weak and hungry juvenile brown pelicans are turning up by the dozens along the beaches of San Diego County.

Over the past two weeks, more than 130 ailing pelicans have been brought to the avian rescue center at SeaWorld San Diego for treatment.

Dr. Judy St. Leger, a SeaWorld veterinarian, said the birds don’t appear to be suffering from disease or exposure to pollution or toxics, but are starving.
“I’ve never seen anything like this” she said.

Why doesn’t Sea World have a press release up about this? I want to know more about their Avian Rescue Center!
