A “San Diego” movie not filmed in San Diego? IMDB lists Anchorman as being filmed in Los Angeles. Bah. Ah well, Will Ferrell is funny. Here’s the official site.

They probably spent one day at the San Diego Zoo.

For better or worse, you can’t get much better than Some Like It Hot, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, and Top Gun.

Check out some movies filmed in San Diego on the San Diego Film Commission site.

Also, did you know Friendster is being used to promote the film, by making fake profiles of the characters?

Yet, Friendster in the past has not allowed “fake” people. Guess it wants publicity.

Right, they purged their ranks in what Many2Many called the Fakester Genocide.

And it’s not publicity they want, as it appears they were *paid* to put those profiles up: they also have big Anchorman Banners up.
