His store was voted Best Record Store two years in a row by San Diego CitySearch.com's editors and readers. He took time out from running the store and record label to answer some of SDB's questions. SDB: What is M-Theory? M-Theory is a physics theorem that states something to the effect that there are 11 different dimensions to the universe. I came up with the name actually for our record label back in '98, after reading an article in the SF Guardian (or SF Weekly... can't remember) about this physics theorem. I liked the "multi-dimensional" aspect of the theorem and thought it would be cool to apply it in different terms for the record label.
