I can’t get behind his politics, but Citizen Smash sure can write a great post about pro-War Protesting against clueless anti-war protesters. Plenty of people love his brand of ex-military punditry. Heck, some of John Kerry’s and George W. Bush’s popularities comes from being been ex-military.

What this country is about is freedom. And I dig freedom, even if I disagree with what people do with it.

    But I wouldn’t define my group as “pro-war.” We’re really more “pro-freedom.”

Most folks recognize that war is an ugly business. The main point of contention is whether we value our freedom enough to fight for it.

In the words of John Stuart Mill:

“War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.”

Thanks for the comment Scott! Love your blog! Though I wish your RSS feed worked, that way I could keep up with your shenanigans better.
