Anti-War Protest Watch

Wednesday, June 30, 2004 23:09

It bugs me that posts like these are possible because many of the people who attend Iraq war protests who act in an uncivilized manner are asshats. But I wonder, does that make the point that some were making, that the Iraqi occupation was not such a hot idea, wrong?

Wednesday, June 30, 2004 5:05

Whatever Happened to Izard Street? Pacific Beach and Its Street Names The majority of Pacific Beach streets have had more than one name. It seems as if, through the years, the city fathers couldn't make up their minds. But the changes were not born of caprice; there were good ...

Street Scene: Year Twenty

Tuesday, June 29, 2004 5:00

Street Scene used to be really cool -- then at some point it grew too big for its britches and was just too many young drunk idiots fighting for too little parking and making it more about hook-ups than music. Over the years I've seen ...

Sunday, June 27, 2004 22:01

City limits space that can be used for secondhand goods: Clark wants to sell more used merchandise than El Cajon will allow. The city will only let downtown retailers devote 15 percent of their floor space to secondhand goods. That doesn't work for Clark, who co-owns two stores in Chula Vista ...

Lesbian Golf Suit

Saturday, June 26, 2004 9:22

I'm not sure how I feel about this one: Lesbian couple demands equal treatment from San Diego country club -- so apparently the Bernardo Heights Country Club in Rancho Bernardo (part of San Diego) demands real, legal marriage before one can get spousal GOLF benefits. This seems fair ...

Citizen Smash Pro-War Protest

Thursday, June 24, 2004 5:30

I can't get behind his politics, but Citizen Smash sure can write a great post about pro-War Protesting against clueless anti-war protesters. Plenty of people love his brand of ex-military punditry. Heck, some of John Kerry's and George W. Bush's popularities comes from being been ex-military. What this country is ...
