San Diego Comic-Con is coming! I’ve been attending comic-cons for nearly 20 years. I’m wondering — are are any blogs about Comic-Con? There is a great comics weblog put on by The Comics Journal.

Anyway, I was grateful to see that this here weblog, San Diego Blog, has been mentioned by the San Diego Union Tribune on their new web logs page. They talk about Comic Con in their new geeky blog: Disembodied Brain. I’m gonna ping ‘em with their very first trackback. :-) They include, graciously (thanks UT!) links to my own ArtLung blog and this here San Diego Blog too! They’re also soliciting links, which is damn smart. They could simply link to my own SBD though. :-) But no sweat. The more blogs and the more links, the better!

For those of you who consider blogs a fad. Well, the name is a fad. But the concept of a “site of the day” or a “diary” or a “what’s new” page is NOT new. You want to update regularly? You want to stay fresh? You want to organize things by date? That’s a blog. Maybe the name will change, but the format is here to stay.

I’m pretty jazzed about this development, for the obvious ego-swelling issues. :-)

I’ll add that if you think there are blogs from San Diego that are missing at
San Diego Bloggers , or you have corrections to same, please drop a line.

As geeky as you want to be
My blogging efforts are slowly bearing fruit. Though I still consider SignOn’s blogging efforts to be in a beta stage, the proprietor of San Diego Blog (beta) has spotted Disembodied Brain and my nascent Weblog directory. Coming soon: Some thoughts…
