I have lived in MB, PB, OB, Escondido, La Mesa, Allied Gardens and now near Lake Murray. My house is located in a cul-de-sac on an oddly shaped lot that borders on seven other properties.
Last week we travelled up to Ramona for a party. We drove up Wildcat Canyon Road passing the surreal Barona Casino on the way. There was considerable traffic for a two lane country road. All those cars got me thinking about an energy-efficient economy, greener cars.
I remember visiting Ramona years ago when I lived on an avocado ranch in Escondido. Ramona was a small town without any fast food franchises. Now I see a built-up commercialized Ramona. Business has discovered the valley of the sun.
My friend K. lives in Ramona. K.’s next door neighbors have horses in their backyard. K. smells the odor when it gets hot.
I have two backyards. One yard is actually in the back and the other is on the north side of my house, where my office is. A tool shed is on the other side of the house. That’s where I keep most of my gardening tools and supplies. I probably spend more time than I should digging in the dirt. I like growing things.
Joe has provided some virtual soil here at San Diego blog. Now I’ve planted something here.
